[ba] what is a 4kqt worth?

Hey Jeff, as you obviously know, there is no price standard for a car
like this, one place to start is to think about how much it cost to
build a car like this and begin advertising the car off this standard,
so if anyone else is thinking about taking on a project like this, they
can bypass all the work and just pay for the car finished. In this
light, I'd say the car could be worth anywhere from $3-6k range,
assuming its together and the work done is reliable and quality.

I'd just pick a price and start advertising it for that, you're going
to want to wait for the right buyer who will pay you what you want for
the car (the highest price), unless you need to dump or unload the car
quickly.

Make the car look nice and fix any obvious, naggling issues to
alleviate any buyer concern, I'd say if the car is clean like you
describe, you shouldn't have any trouble getting $4k-ish for it.

HTH,
Javad

Subject: [ba] what is a 4kqt worth?

   Hi,

I am going to be selling my 84 4kqt in the near future
and I am trying to figure out a fair price to ask for
it. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. The
car is as follows:

84 Audi 4000 quattro (silver with fair paint) no body
damage, 224k on chassis, eibach springs, boge inserts,
15" borbet wheels, kumho tires, G60 brakes, SS brake
lines, CD stereo with Polk speakers, all accessories
work, NO A/C, Additional gauge panel below stereo
with boost, Oil temp, oil pressure, and volt meter.
Transmission from a 85 4kq, working diff locks.

MC1 motor from an 86 5000T, 175k on motor, 125-130
psi. in all cyc., 1.8 bar chip and wastegate spring,
intercooler, oil cooler, afterrun coolant pump, Bypass
valve, just passed smog. I did the conversion
my-self four years ago. It is a fun and fast car to
drive.

It must be worth more than the kbb price. If anyone
has any info please let me know.

Thank you,

Jeff Hemmerlin
