[ba] Airbag light on Cabriolet

... was this car involved in the airbag recall?  If so, and the recall
is outstanding I'll bet this would fix the issue.  I'm not an airbag
"expert" ... but I've seen cases where this symptom is a sign that the
energy storage device in the airbag module is on the way out ... 

If you or someone near him has ProDiag, VAG-COM or the VAG1551/2 you
should be able to read codes from the airbag controller to confirm.
