[ba] Need To Find South Bay Audi Service Provider ...

... got the car back from all the work that was done, so I thought I'd post up my final results for any else who might need to find an Audi shop ... and since in general I work on my cars myself it is not very often I have a chance to post feedback on a service provider ...

It turned out the problem with my clutch was a bad throw-out bearing (PHEW!) ... I also decided to have John install the Bilsteins that have been sitting in the garage. As a result of pulling the tranny the rubber bushing in the middle of the driveshaft failed (16 years is good enough for me!) ... fortunately I had picked up a NOS propshaft for a V8 many years ago ... John told me about my worn UFO rotors (yes, I knew they were getting worn), and he had a fairly reasonable price on new rotors. When doing the four wheel alignment one front wheel bearing was deemed to be loose. I had the outer front CV boots replaced as well.

When I got the car back it was all nice and clean ... and with the new parts and work that was done the car was as tight as a car 10+ years newer ... total damage for parts and labor was $2200, which I think is more than reasonable ... I'd hate to think what the dealer would charge for all that work!

So in the end I would recommend Brasil Auto to anyone looking to have work done on their Audi!

IUD!
