[ba] My old '87 5ktq is at Pick-N-Pull Moss Landing

A "heads up" PSA sorta post. I was at the Moss Landing Pick-N-Pull this past Saturday with my son and a friend of ours foraging for ovloV 240 parts to fix my son's car that had an electrical fire under the hood (headlight relay was the cause of the fire BTW). Cruising the yard looking for interesting parts cars I noticed a strangely familiar looking nautic blue 5kcstq. Closer inspection confirmed it is definitely my old car. A very sad discovery really. I let the car go for next to nothing in April 2004 and should be "over it" but obviously I wasn't.

Anyway, it looks to still be mostly intact. Only around 4k miles on the odometer since I had it (it is at ~196k now). Not wrecked so I suspect a smog issue or abandonment was the demise of my old friend. Anyway, there are Boge Turbo Gas struts that are still fairly fresh all the way around, a 1.8 bar Scott Mockry wastegate spring, the ECU has a QLCC chip mounted in a socket, and actually the engine might still be a good donor candidate as well. I always used Mobil 1 and changed the oil real often. It didn't use much oil, had good compression, and made good power still when I had it (who knows what happened for the last 4k miles though).

Thought I would pass it along as I hope someone who could use this stuff can go get it off the car!
