Sorry for the OTP . I have a friend who happens to be living in his car with
his family. Things can't get much worse when your car is all you have . and
then *THAT* breaks. On his way into the south bay area the exhaust system
caught on something and broke loose in a couple places.

The car is a '94 Camry with 4-cylinder engine. He's lived in Minnesota,
Ohio and western New York state, so the exhaust is pretty rusty. There's a
screwy flexible hose downpipe that runs under the drivetrain, and a straight
pipe that runs to the muffler, mounted right in front of the rear bumper.
The tail pipe has rusted free of the muffler, and the flexible pipe up front
is nearly torn through. (I've learned to look under Camrys now and see the
exhaust typically hangs quite low under the car)

We probably can't afford to replace the entire exhaust system, but I thought
I might be able to buy some parts at a PnP for a more reasonable price.
I've wired the exhaust up so it isn't dragging on the ground, but my two
attempts to MacGyver the flexible line have not been completely successful .

TIA!

Steve Buchholz
