[ba] 82 coupe - sunroof cable repair

I don't have much BTDT, but I did mess with the sunroof mechanism on the urq
a long time ago ... it was slipping at the crank. I didn't need to remove
the cables, but if I were to do it, I'd remove the crank mechanism from the
underside ... I'm thinking then you can loosen the blocks and the cable will
slide out with the block.
I suspect that it might be easier if you remove the sunroof mechanism, and I
don't think it is that difficult to do, I've just never done it.
BTW, in my case what I found was causing the slipping was that the crank
assembly wasn't being held up close enough to the frame ... the screws that
hold the crank in place were threaded into a thin piece of the pot metal
frame and the threads got weak somehow. The odd thing was that I found
other threaded holes in a thicker part of the frame ... and the crank
mechanism had matching holes ... who knows why they weren't being used.
Longer screws in the other holes allowed me to tighten the crank better and
solve the sunroof problem.
Good luck!

Anyone have any links to help on replacing the sunroof cable? The
manual is pretty slim on it, just showing an exploded drawing and
that's about it.
Any tips/advice greatly appreciated.
