mainly because my wife can't drive stick (and she primarily chauffeurs my ass 
around being she can't stand my driving ;-) and i bought the 200 with relatively 
low miles (114k) in 2008. to rack up the miles at 22k/yr would negate the very 
reason why i bought the car - to have a fun, badass and uncommon weekend 
ride/vacation ride. 


it does run well and has had a boatload of maintenance (and some mods). but a 
vanilla jetta with under 40k is a more hassle-free ride. putting 22k/yr on a 
200, with the bevy of 20 year old seals and hoses (many replaced - but not all) 
is quite an endeavor.

Okay,

And the reason you don't take out a loan for say $6-$8K and have your  
200q gone through top to bottom to make it a DD for the foreseeable  
future is??

Or just run it as-is and immediately fix anything that goes when it  
goes.

Life can be easy if you'll let it.
