I got a call from Doc Keene this afternoon. He called to tell me that he
had just learned that Tony Lum had passed away. I don't know the details,
but he had bypass surgery a few weeks ago, I assume that there were
complications resulting from that operation.

Tony was a good friend I've known for many years. I remember the 5000T he
had when I first met him. It was a FWD car, but Tony had fixed it up with
tweaks from newer cars and had put together a sweet ride. Over the years I
saw that was the way Tony rolled . he found nice cars and made sure they
were properly tweaked and maintained. Tony has been a member of audifans
for many years, but he tended to keep a comparatively low profile . it seems
he would typically respond with a direct message to a post rather than
responding to the group. Tony liked to get to the bottom of problems and
learned quite a bit in the process. I'd dare say he was the master of the
4000/Coupe GT/ urq electrical system.

Tony was also a regular attendee at the Saturday morning coffee get
togethers in Aptos. It was at one of these meetings where I saw Tony last.
Fortunately I did have a chance to chat with him before his surgery.

Al tells me that a memorial service is scheduled for 11AM this coming
Saturday in the Chapel of the Roses at the Oak Hill Cemetery in San Jose,
with a lunch following.

Rest in Peace Tony! I am glad that I had the opportunity to know you while
you were here!
