Rich, it sounds like he could possibly be talking about the subframe mounts.
They are along the same lines as engine mounts in that they are a rubber
bushing that isolates the subframe from the rest of the vehicle. I can't
imagine breaking one let alone two so soon though. Musta been a bad batch of
rubber if this is indeed what the problem is.

Dealer says : "2 subframe connectors broken in half". The service rep
wasn't too clear with me on what these are - anyone know? Maybe where

I'm the mad pot-hole dodger, so i'm a little shocked i could've broken
thru both sides (no blunt traumas here!). I guess the moral is, if you've
got any clunking up front, get it checked out - he wouldn't let me have
the car back until they could get parts to fix it 'cause he said it may
be dangerous to drive! >>
