Mobil has expanded their "Mobil 1" oil label to include some dino/synthetic
oil blends apparently. From a marketing standpoint it's a debatable move- -
by extending the brand perception of quality from fully synthetic over oils
with dino/synthetic blends you may link the perception to the blend, or you
may deteriorate the reputation of the fully synthetic. Mobil has not stopped
making a full-synthetic under the Mobil 1 tag.

But it's confusing. I was getting a couple cases of Mobil 1 5-30 and almost
grabbed the blend, didn't see the small lettering identifying "fully
synthetic".
