I just put S8 wheels on my 2000 S4 with Bridgestone S03 Pole Position 235/40
18's.   The only modification necessary was an H&K 5mm spacer.  Even with
the spacer, I was able to use the stock studs.

It looks and drives great.   I have stock suspension.  No scraping or
problems.
