Does one need to depress the clutch pedal when starting? Surely if
it's in neutral then there's not too much more load on the starter?
Presumably the thing would refuse to work if you were in gear. IF you
left in in gear so that it had to depress the clutch, then it'd need
to do it all the time it's running, not just when starting.

Or have I got the wrong end of the stick here?
