Can some of you take a look at your VAG-COM reading under the engine control
section while your car is idling. I'm interested in knowing what readings you
are getting for (1) ignition timing and (2) engine load when you are at a stop
with the car fully warmed up. Compare the numbers between when you have the
clutch to the floor and when you have it all the way out (shifter in neutral).
I'm getting about 10 degrees of ignition with the clutch out but 0 degrees
with it in. I'm trying to diagnose my rough engine idle and I can't figure
out why the car idles more smoothly when I have the clutch depressed versus
when it's all the way out yet still in neutral.
Thanks, Carter.
