Interesting write up but I don't think this corrosive argument applies
much anymore.  Back when Ethanol was introduced people did have issues
with it as you state, but these days I think it is pretty much a mute
point.  Many members of my extended family have run the stuff
exclusively for hundreds of thousands of miles w/o any fuel seal issue
etc.

Audi fuel seals leak all on their own w/o any additional help.  ;-)
(BTDT on two S-Cars so far)

I don't personally run ethanol in any of my cars because it is only
found in the 89 octane (I think) around here.  The '90 CQ gets 91 and
the '93 S4 gets 93.
