Dano, you can buy a *used* car from another state and bring it into
California...just not a *new* car.  The definition of a *used* car by the CA
DMV is if the car has over 7,500 miles on it.  I purchased a used Audi S4 from
New York that had 8,100 miles on it and brought it successfully to CA.

Just an FYI.
