Hmmm...Greek law.

For a country which in ancient times had one of the greatest civilisations,
modern Greece is a bit of a disaster now.

Take the recent law banning online gambling. Makes no distinction between
computer games and gambling, so now you can be put in prison for playing one
of those 3D first person shooter games with a group on the internet.

European law concerning the operation of insurance countries across member
states is already a mess. Add to that Greece's talent for mucking up their
own laws, I don't think that you're in a good position. Say you did manage
to register your car in Greece and insure it, how can you be sure that
you're fully protected?

No, I suggest that you get cover from an insurer in your own country - you
don't say where you're from. For example I have UK insurance which also
covers me in Europe and some other countries too. Doesn't cost me anything -
its all part of the standard policy.

I'm stuck in a pickel where I'm in Greece on business, but according to
Greek law, no insurance company here can insure a car (for theft) with
foreign license plates.  I'm looking for alternatives if anyone has s a
solution, please let me know.
