I bought a one yr contract from Warranty Acceptance
Corp (888-823-1997) - expanded coverage - engine
(lubricated & non-lubricated engine components -
replacement of turbos not listed).
Also includes electrical, suspension, instrumentation,
brake and body components. They pay 80% of the first
$500 in repairs - 100% of all repairs in excess of
$500. Go to any service facility. Must get
pre-approval before work is done.
Coverage pays for parts that break during normal wear
and tear. Major requirement: Car must have less than
100k mi. Expanded coverage costs $168.75 annually ($25
deductible/ $100 deductible for tranny work).
I have my annual contract in hand. Other than
replacing blown turbos - every other major area is
covered. But, there is no general exclusion for turbo
cars.
First, they sent me a brochure (unsolicitated around
the time my Audi coverage expired)and I read from
front to back. I purchased a contract and read it from
front to back - again no general exclusion for turbo
cars.
Hope this helps. I might call them and see if turbo
related problems are covered - didn't think about
before this week.
