Unfortunately, I did not my keep my original DVs.
I suspect the dealer will try and use this as their
out. I'll see what happens. DVs don't increase boost -
they just hold it longer. Again, the S4 turbos have to
be VERY WEAK to have aftermkt DVs cause premature
destruction.
May I repeat - i chipped (and added the SAME DV as is
on my S4) on a 17 yr old Porsche with 120k mi on the
stock turbo - not a peep. If any engine should feel
the stress of increased(the chip) and sustained boost
(the aftermkt DVs) boost - it's this engine.
Remember I chipped a mid 1980s engine with mid 1980s
technology. I had a latest generation (Audi) turbo
engine blow up at 52k mi - all Audi recommended
maintenance was followed - something is wrong with
this picture.
By the way, I paid $7k for my Porsche in 1996 - so far
- I put about $10k of upgrades into it. Next upgrades
- enhanced head gasket - larger turbo (purchased) -
larger intercooler - larger fuel injectors - remove
the cat(next week) - my 951 Porsche upgrade project
will thn be complete.

If you still have your OEM diverter valves, you may
want to put them back in before your trip to the
dealer. You are correct that the dealer may focus on
those, as they are in the "boost stream" and actually
could have impcted the turbos.
