[BiturboS4] S4 Blown Turbos - Update - Audi's Preliminary Diagnosis

impellers also break off when a dv or torn throttle body boot are left
unfixed. since the boost will leak out, the wastegates will stay closed
and allow the turbos to overspin. so if you have upgraded these parts
that should be a good thing. Another thing that can blow them is
putting on a free flowing exhaust. this releases backpressure that is
engineered into the system in order to throttle the turbos and prevent
overspin. Since you have a totally stock s4, these are not the cause
for your problem but just wanted to let others know.

My 2001 S4 is up to about 13,000 miles already and has a giac x chip and
awe duel exhaust. I'm planning to put on the bigger turbos soon as well
once I figure out how to install them.
