I use synthetic (whatever's on sale) and change every 3000 miles. On
my race engines I change the oil about every week. I think (based on
what my motors look like after tearing them down) that using cheaper oil
and changing it every 3000 miles is better then using $$$ amsoil. but
everyone has their own opinion and different climates make a difference
too. I live in california where the coldest it gets in winter is like
40 degrees at night.
