I had kept quiet on this thread but can no longer.

Audi warrants your car in its as-delivered form.  If you modify it to
operate outside of the designed parameters and something breaks,
Audi should be under no obligation.  If you try to cheat your way
through by putting in the stock ECU then it *is* fraud.  What is there
in this that you don't understand?

If you're willing to spend the $$ to buy the performance upgrades,
you should also be prepared to foot the bill for its consequences.

I am not anti-chipping or anti-mod in any way.  In fact since the S4
has such high potential for performance boost, I have plans for some
modding myself -- after the warranty is over.  Hence I welcome any
discussions about performance mods on this list and general sharing
of experience and knowledge.

This subject has nothing to do with political affiliations and views
(just so you know, I am a way-left Democrat).
