Those reasons (listed below from Ian) are precisely why I ditched my Mk4 VW
GTI (where I was getting ready to put on either a Z-engineering supercharger
for 270hp, or an HGP turbo kit for 320hp) - the cost was going to be more than
stealing, oops - I mean buying :), a used S4 and then chipping/exhausting it.
So, now I have the S4 for less cost than the GTI. Power gets to the ground
via 4 drive wheels rather than two front ones also. I miss the lighter weight
though.
