I am not a chemist by any means, however, I can say that techron has
worked very well for me in the past with some of my older VAG cars.  I
will run a large bottle or two through the tank right before an oil
change.  I would work the car quite hard; its a good excuse.  Its a
good idea to change he oil after using Techron because it is pretty
caustic stuff.  While I say that it is good stuff, I have not yet had
any reason to use it in the S4.  Techron is the only gas additive that
I would use to clean injectors, FWIW.
