It is funny that we are having this conversation. I just got another big fat
ticket.
I have an older V1. A couple of days ago, I was thinking about upgrading it. Went
to the Escort site and entered the s/n on the upgrade page. It mentioned that
there are some bands that my older unit may not pick up. I thought that this was
all marketing crap to get me to pay to have the unit upgraded. It appears that it
may be true.
I just got picked up for 85 in a 60. He picked me off with instant on (model 3912
MPH II). My detector never even saw it.
