I was surprised not to see anyone mention the "recalibration" that you can =
do to the trip computer to make it more realistic.  I did it some time ago =
and could dig up the VAG code change (like changing a 100 to 110 in one of =
the fields) if someone's interested.  It's within 2-5 tenths of a mpg now v=
s 1.8 mpg optimistic. I still like checking my mpg with a calculator each f=
ill up - to see how the trip computer compares.
