[BiturboS4] H&R coilovers or H&R/Bilstein combo

Hello,
I'm seeking suspension advice for my 2002 S4 sedan.
My car is driven on the street only. My primary goals are a slightly
firmer suspension, mostly in terms of improved damping, and lowering the
car slightly to reduce the wheel well gap. I find the stock spring rate
more or less acceptable, though I wouldn't mind a slightly more
aggressive rate.
My former daily driver is a Porsche 951 which is now dedicated to the
track. I bought the S4 because as I started improving the Porsche's
suspension (springs, shocks, solid bushings, etc.), it was beating me up
on the way to and from work every day. So I although I'd like slightly
better performance from the Audi, I don't want to end up in the same
place I did with the Porsche.
The two options I'm considering are:
- H&R sport springs w/Bilstein dampers (from AWE Tuning)
- H&R coilover kit
My concern about the coilovers is potential harshness from linear rate
springs, particularly on Los Angeles freeways and rough side streets.
Any thoughts? Anyone in SoCal with H&R coilovers care to comment on ride
harshness?
Thanks,
-Jeff
