I'd highly recommend the Toyo Proxes T1/S; I replaced my OEM Potenza
040s with these last summer. I haven't used the SO-3s or the Pilot
Sports on any of my cars so I can't compare directly, but the Toyos are
significantly lighter than the SO-3s. IMHO, the Pilots are way over
priced.

The Toyos have a ride that is both quieter and "softer" than the 040s
and many other performance tires I've used. By "softer" I mean that
sharp bumps, like expansion joints, don't hammer as badly.

Turn-in is quick, sharp and very intuitive and the grip is nice and
progressive at the limit. Traction in the wet is also excellent, the
best of any tire I've used to date. I spent a day lapping BeaverRun last
fall with these and was reasonably impressed. More lateral grip than
you'll ever need on the street and they held up well despite my abuse.

Somewhere around $160/ea from etires.com.
