[BiturboS4] Gear selection

I would have just shifted out of second if accelerating rapidly, in
third if accelerating or slowing into the 30s and in 4th if just
cruising at a steady rate.  There seems to be very little need to rap
the S4 to high RPMs due to the very uniform and outstanding torque at
anything above 2K RPM.

What is the best gear selection at 40mph? I cannot decide if I should
shift into 2nd or stay in 3rd. This is with the assumption of a
straightaway, no rain, straight line, etc. It seems that 3rd gear has
the same pull and keeps going past the 63 mph mark.
