FYI: chipping is not the sole cause of turbo failure. The S4 has an
inherently poor design for the K03 system. How many 1.8T engines have y0ou
heard of with blow turbos from a chip? Not many. And they run slightly
higher boost pressures too. The S4 is just not setup in the turbos' favor
(read, weak to begin with) and so it's easy to push it over the edge. So, I
think you would see a lot of blown S4 turbos regardless of the chip.
Nonetheless, it is something to consider when chipping.
