Audi's 0-60 published times are quite conservative.
Most car reviews so far have been able to get about 0.5 second
quicker 0-60 with the new V8 S4 than the biturbo S4. While that
might not seem like a lot but it does take quite a bit more power
to get 5 sec than 5.5 sec. The new model weighs more (not from
the engine, but from the car overall), and the torque peak is
achieved higher in the rpm band, so that also accounts for this
too.
What's interesting is that once underway, the V8 S4's midrange
acceleration in top gear (say, from 50-80) is *a lot* quicker.
