[Biturbos4] Tire Recomendation? and possible tire for sale.

I've been trying to get 4 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 since May with no luck!!
My local dealers (in Ottawa Canada) tell me that there's no production date
even scheduled for them?!?

My original P6000s are down to the wear bars and extremely noisy now. But,
I can probably hang on until late Sep, or early Oct when I'll put on my 4
winter tires ... then it'll postpone the problem until next spring.

2 Questions for the group:
1. Has anyone else been having troubles getting these Goodyear tires? Is
the problem in Canada only (how're things in AB, Quincy?) or am I getting BS
from my local dealers?
2. In your collective opinions, what other tire is as "good" ... I'm no
hot-rodder, but I want a sticky tire (wet & dry) that's not too loud
(though, after these P6000's any change would likely be an improvement!).

TIA,
David
