It's important to know/remember that AoA is AoA, and dealers are independant business ... uh ... persons. AoA establishes the warranty policies and procedures, and they and the dealers are not in cahoots. Whether the dealer has the right to modify the warranty like that would depend on those policies, and I'm thinking it's pretty unlikely. There are certainly ways that the original dealer *could* have taken car of you, but no other dealer would be obligated under the "modified" warranty. And, as has been said here before, some dealers are better than others.
