Robin,

Audi do offer extended warranty, there is one type for years 4 & 5 with the
same coverage as the manufacturers warranty and another for 5 years plus
which has reduced coverage.

I am in year 5 now, it cost around £ 800 for the year and have made a couple
of claims which probably amount to the cost and I have 4 months to run.

Last year my car needed turbos, for which the extended warranty paid out £
3300.
