The 2.7T does have an afterrun fan/coolant pump, but the temperature setting
on the stock thermoswitch is far higher than most cars ever encounter. A
few enterprising individuals on Audiworld have discovered a direct swap
thermoswitch with a much lower temperature setting. The switch in question
is from a EuroVan, IIRC.
I've got that switch installed and it works well.
