what is the diameter of the stock mafs? there are two,
correct?
you can dial in more fuel (via chip or af-c) so you
wouldn't run lean, but airflow is important obviously.
in the world of boosted SHOs, i have never seen a
highly tuned one (450 wheel hp and way above) without
being tuned on a dyno. but, then again, i haven't
heard of too many chipped 2.7Ts munching the rings
either. so, maybe detonation isn't that big of a
problem with the bosch motronic.
