[Biturbos4] Phat noise

I just saw something about a device from Omnifi. The pricing isn't all that much better than phat noise, and you need the blitz adapter to get it to work with the Audi...

but it can be configured to automatically sync it's HD with your home server via wireless ethernet while your car is in the garage... AND there is a home version that can make all the same playlists and music available in your house. The car unit is like $599 (+ wireless antenna and blitz adapter, so probably close to $800) and the home unit is $299.

For the same price I'd be inclined to get the one that works seamlessly with the OEM headunit in the Audi, but the thought of it auto-updating without taking anything out of the car, and being the "same" as the data available in my house (I have audio distribution in my home) is VERY attractive.

Marc,

I've seen several post on Audiworld about purchasing Phat Boxes for $400 -
500 dollars.

One more e-mail.

Has anyone tried the new Phat Noise - Phat Box? It looks very cool but
Audi wants $800. Seems a little steep for basically an MP3 box.

Marc
