Matt,
Asking for a lot with your wish for brake pads :)
Racing pads stop the car stronger and longer than street pads.
Racing pads are dirty
Racing pads are not quiet
PaGid racing pads are my preference and were Audi's secret for years:
Listed in increasing stopping power
RS-7 racing compound "black" usually used on the rear
RS-9 racing compound "yellow" endurance racing
RS-4-2 racing compound "blue" the best until the orange arrived
RS-4-4 racing compound "Orange" 25% less prone to fade than the
blue
RS Ceramic "Silver" best, but chews up rotors
RS Sport street compound "blue" not much squeal not as good as
above
All these squeal with light pedal pressure, but quiet with heavy use.
Once accustomed to racing pads you probably will never go back to street
pads and you will put up with the squeal and dirtiness.
You won't have this come out of your mouth, "Oh My, I can't stop"

Subject: [Biturbos4] S4 Front Brake Pads?
I just bought a '00 S4, and the Front brakes are done. I have a set of
Brembo Slotted / Cross drilled's on the way from RPI, but I did not buy
the pads from them. They were $175 for the Mintex (I believe). I don't
mind spending $100 or so, but I want the best pad for my money. It will
be mostly a street car, but I want to have a little bit of track
capability. Also, reduced dust, and something that grabs without
warming up much is a must.
EBC? Greenstuff? Autozone? Help me out guys, thanks!!!
