When mine failed, and by failed I mean the dash light came on, there was no
difference in driving. I don't have a vag-com, so don't know what the
reading was. I was also on a trip and the local Audi dealership told me not
to worry about it until I got home. I had it replaced when I got home, and
Audi eventually reimbursed me for it.

Subject: [Biturbos4] driving without working MAF
Just out of curiosity, How does the car drive if the MAF goes bad?
I have a MAF of the "old, flawed type" that is giving slightly low
readings (according to VAG-COM). I'm taking a week long trip in 2.5
weeks, and want to know what to expect if it decides to fail outright
during the trip (or any other time for that matter).
Thanks,
David
