Really? Interesting, didn't know that, now I do. Seat-of-the-pants feel can be deceiving, throttle response is one of those thing. A K&N _may_ improve it somewhat, but like you said I seriously doubt it can add any hp. In which case, I'd feel better keeping the intake stock.
