In my opinion (and experience) if you only service your S4 when audi
"recommends" it then you are likely to shorten the life of your engine.
10,000 mile oil changes are what audi recommends, however even 5000
miles is a stretch on a turbo engine. I have never seen that service
message come up since I get mine done every 2500 to 3000 miles. Well,
at least for oil changes... If you 've ever taken the valve cover off
an engine that has had oil changes past 3000 miles, you would know what
I mean. lot's of burned on oil residue coaring every single part. YUK!
