[Biturbos4] Tyres and Brake pads

My S4 goes in for its MOT test soon, and I suspect they'll insist on a
new set of tyres and brake pads. My pads are whatever were on the car
when I bought it (probably stock), and the tyres are Michelin Pilot
Sports. Should I just replace them, or is there a better set of each
that I should look for? I won't really be looking to replace the discs
though, unless the price isn't too bad. Oh, and as you can probably
guess from my spelling of 'tyres', I'm in the UK - if that makes any
difference.
