[Biturbos4] Continental Warranty and worn tie rods.

Yep - I have 76k mi and I had a tie-rod replacement. My tech told me that it's common for Audi. Your price about right. BTW, my turbos blew up @ 52k mi - stock. Now, I'm chipped (GIAC-X), glad that i did it. If my turbos blow up this time - I will get K04s. Audi  went 50/50 (cause I was out of warranty) when my turbos blew up @ 52k mi because I was stock. No way, if I'm chipped. Total cost was $5400 ($2700/Audi-$2700 me). My research on extended warranties says  - don't waste your $$$. Best extended warranty - a Visa/MC with a high (available) credit line. Just my $.02.

on the rear diff ($210) and worn tie rod ends ($470). Of course neither 
of these items are on the list of covered parts so the warranty won't 
even pay half this time.

Now if the turbos blow up or some other major problem occurs and 
Continental actually covers the repair I might sing a different tune, 
but for now I think I would have been much better off going with the 
extended warranty program offered by the dealer.

BTW the shop tells me that worn tie rods are quite common at this 
mileage, anyone else have the same problem with their S4?
