[Biturbos4] LOW SPEED SHUDDER

I get this when the car ('00 A6 2.7T 6spd) is first started if I don't let it warm up for a minute before driving.  Even on hot days, it needs a minute to finish it's "starting cycle".  If I wait until the idle reaches a normal level before starting out it never shudders.  If I pull away while the idle is still high the car isn't happy.

Have any of you experienced a shudder in the drive train up to about 15 MPH? It occurs under normal to heavy acceleration.   Is it normal or something to be concerned about?
