There isn't a stoplight I'm at the front of (unless a cop is next to me)
that I don't take off from at full throttle, nor onramp, or clear corner.
As soon as things are warmed up, the engine sees redline multiple times.
Every time I drive my car it gets floored 15? 30? times. I also get crappy
gas mileage- my new S4 is only getting around 15 mpg ... but... such is
the price to pay for fun. :)

Not many people realize just what a -properly designed- engine can
tolorate for hundreds of thousands of miles. The key term is properly
designed.  Audi uses sodium filled valves, for example, to keep the valves
from overheating. That's a racecar part. So is the carbon fiber
driveshaft. They've been using those in all quattro cars for almost a
decade.
