Just had my steering rack go at 60,000 miles and of course just went off 
Audi-Assured Program in March.  Rebuilt rack from Ziff (original manufacture is 
$600, but labor is a killer)

My Audi 200 had the rack go a 100,000 miles, but 60,000 miles seems awfully 
young. 

Have any of you had steering racks go and if so at what mileage?  Any luck 
with Audi picking up the tab after warranty expiration for those of you who had 
it go early?
