Hi Mike,
Congrats on your new car! Your car is not chipped, stock boost is around 0.7 - 0.8 bar. Bosch and Hitachi systems are not interchangeable, your '01 should be have the later Hitachi system that is supposedly more reliable.
But you mention you have a F-hose in your car? AFAIK that's only in pre-'01 cars, as the later ones got rid of it. This means yours might be built during the transition period and have the pre-updated hardware along with the Bosch MAF.
