A while back I looked into how I could switch the reminder to the
"flexible" mode used in Europe, where the oil change intervals are
computed dynamically. I've got the Bentley for the B5 S4 and, in addition
to the channels described above, there are a couple others for use when
channel 45 = 2; these apparently tell the system what grade oil is in use
so that change intervals can be computed. The options were expressed in
European oil grades, so I was not sure how to map them to the grades on
stuff like Mobil 1 or Amsoil.

I don't have the CD with me here at work, but I'll try and look up the
information tonight and post. Note that I haven't actually tried this yet,
so there may be some hidden gotcha...
