I was thinking that one could replace only the HID projectors with the ECE
version for $150-$200/pair. The plastic cover has no optics and the reflector is
for the high beam and only appearance trim around the HID projector...

LOL  Yeah DOT has been useless in the lighting area seemingly forever... I
stopped using WWII era DOT sealed beam headlights in 1972 in favor of Cibie' H4
ECE lights. Oops, I guess I just admitted to being an old fart... LOL
