[Biturbos4] Swapping the dash?

The center display on the dash of my new 2000 S4 is a little scrambled and
the feedback that I received regarding this problem is that it can not be
fixed... it requires a complete replacement. Since there were about 10x as
many S4's sold in the US vs. Canada, I would probably be able to find a used
one in the US easier then here! My question is how easy is it to change the
gauges to metric? I'm guessing (hoping) that it would be as simple as
swapping the gauge face-plates? Or are these glued on? Also, I would also
guess that the digital portion of the display can be changed to metric
readings as well.
Does any one know of a procedure to swap the digital read-outs from US to
Canadian? I know there are some hidden key strokes on the center console
buttons for other models that I have owned, but I don't know about it with
this model. Or is it something that can be done with a VAG-COM setting?
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brent.
