[Biturbos4] 17" wheels and StopTech brakes

A couples months back I installed StopTech's 332mm big brake kit on my
2001 S4 Avant. Silly stopping power and a fantastic pedal feel, and
they fit (just barely!) under the OEM 17" wheels. I've got some pics
of the installation here:

So now I'm in the market for a nice set of summer wheels. I really
want to stick with 17" rims since I live in New England and I fear
that 18" rims would be courting pot-hole disaster. I also have 1 1/2
sets of 17" Michelin PS2s sitting in the garage that I'm loath to
abandon.
It seems to be tricky business finding 17" rims that will clear the
calipers. It's not so much the diameter inside the wheel as the
lateral clearance between the outside face of the caliper and the
spokes of the wheels.
StopTech does provide a sizing template which can be used to check
wheels for proper clearance, but that isn't much help when researching
options online or over the phone. So I'm hoping that someone out there
has some BTDT experience and can name a few options which are known to
fit. Or perhaps a referral to an attentive tuner/dealer that would be
able to work to find options.
Thanks for any information!
